After some rumors earlier, today we saw the first mention of 12c on an official Oracle presentation. C as in Cloud that is.
There is a big emphasis on Cloud this OpenWorld. With Exalogic Oracle releases a “Private Cloud in a Box” and yesterday Larry announced that Oracle is going to offer public cloud services on Linux and Solaris as well.
So we’ll be hearing a lot of cloud from Oracle in the next couple of years.
C is the new G – Cloud is the new Grid.
