[Oracle APEX 4.0] Show labels

by Peter van der Neut on May 10, 2010 · 1 comment

Oracle APEX 4.0 has reached Early Adopter Release 3. One change I immediately noticed, is a new option on the Page Definition page. Located in the Utilities menu is a new option to switch the display of item labels in the Application Builder.

You can now choose between Show Names and Show Labels. Show Names is simply the way it has always been, showing the names of the items.

A familiar view with the page prefix for the item names. But now with the Show Labels option you can choose to display the labels of the page items.

Hidden items will still show the name but now with a prefix Hidden. Items that are missing a label will show the prefix Empty Label. The other items will show the label. A welcome option if you want to see a more descriptive name for the items in the Application Builder.

[Oracle APEX 4.0] Show labels, 4.7 out of 5 based on 3 ratings
