This post will show which Oracle database clients/server versions are still supported, including a support status roadmap, showing versions, dates and support policies with which customers are still eligible for fixes.

Information in these matrices is always undergoing changes and you should always cross check this information with http://support.oracle.com .
Oracle has different kinds of ‘lifetime support’, where Premier and Extended Support are the most well known:
Premier Support provides maintenance and support five years from their general availability date.
Extended Support provides an extra three years of (Premier) support for specific Oracle releases for an additional fee.

- Interoperability problems will only be investigated if BOTH releases involved are covered.
- For database links between different Oracle versions connections must be supported in BOTH directions in the matrix above.

Fixes are only possible when the database is on the latest Patch Set and for 9.2 and 10.1 fixes are only possible for customers with Extended Support.
